The 2008 Panis
Vitae Charity Ball
On Thursday, June 19, 2008, the Catholic Health Care Foundation sponosors The 2008 Panis Vitae Charity Ball at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan. All dinner proceeds go directly for the benefit of the healthcare facilities throughout the Archdiocese of New York, helping to ensure that these essential facilities, serving the elderly and chronically ill, have a generous source of unrestricted income for the capital improvements and special programs they might not otherwise be able to provide those in their care. Recognizing the importance of this mission, His Eminence, Edward Cardinal Egan, is the event's Honorary Chairman.
At this year's Panis Vitae Ball, Roger C. Altman, the Co-Chaairman & Co-CEO of Evercore Partners and former Deputy Treasury Secretary of the United States, will receive the John A. Coleman Memorial Panis Vitae Award; Joan K. Stout, RN, DM, the President of the Hugoton Foundation, will receive the Monsignor James J. Murray Service Award; and Frank J. Branchini, the CEO of Group Health Incorporated (GHI), will receive thePanis Vitae Humanitarian Award. As is true every year, 600 or more of the most prominent members of the healthcare and political leadership of New York State will attend this elegant and lovely affair.
