THE MISSION of the Catholic Health Care System of the Archdiocese of New York is to foster and provide faith-based holistic care to frail and vulnerable people unable to fully care for themselves. Through shared commitments, the System seeks to improve the quality of the lives of those individuals and their families.

Volunteering with CHCS or at one of its sponsored facilities brings the opportunity to match your interests where your talents are needed most. Providing hands-on or behind-the-scenes service shows your concern for those who need assistance to more fully celebrate their lives.

Companionship initiatives at our facilities are flexibly scheduled and sometimes team-based. We embrace virtually every volunteer interest - including gardening and the arts - and volunteers can choose to work with the elderly, children with disabilities, people with AIDS, adults with mental challenges or those who face chronic illness.

Special customized projects for civic, educational, and religious groups can be arranged, and corporate programs are welcome.
